Ammonium sulfate-1

Ammonium sulfate

Ammonium sulfate is as a fertilizer for alkaline soils. In the soil the Ammonium ion is released and forms a small amount of acid, lowering the PH balance of the soil, while contributing essential nitrogen for plant growth. it is also used as an agricultural spray adjuvant for water-soluble insecticides, and fungicides. Ammonium sulfate food additive. Using it as water treatment industry and/or cleaning aditive.

Usages of Ammonium sulfate

This compound is used in the production of printed circuit boards. It’s also in flame retardant materials because it lowers the combustion temperature and increases the production of residues or chars. It activates yeast, so it helps to get industrially produced bread to rise, and it’s also a general-purpose food additive. Finally, it plays an important role in developing vaccines during the purification process. The DTap vaccine, which protects children from diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough, uses ammonium sulfate for this purpose.

Ammonium sulfate uses as agricultural Fertilizer

It is one of the first and most widely used nitrogen (N) fertilizers in agriculture industry. High solubility, equal balancing of nitrogen and sulfur, and controlling pH in all alkaline, salty and calcareous soils are just three of so many advantages of ammonium sulfate among other nitrogen and sulfur fertilizers which provide versatility for a number of agricultural applications.

Use in Cellulose insulation

Along with boric acid is used as an additive to cellulose insulation. By adding  sulfate to the insulation, the fire-retardant nature of the insulation is drastically increased. The reason is the fact that it reduces any release of oxygen from the cellulose material and thereby prohibiting fire growth.

 Uses food Industry

It is used as a dough strengthener and conditioner in bread products.

Use pharmaceutical Industry

It is used as an adjuvant in pharmaceutical vaccines.

uses the water Treatment Industry

It is used with the added chlorine to form chloramines which lead to a longer lasting disinfectant.
